In a certain sense, you could say that erotic photography is about contrasts.

You take a beautiful girl, you take her clothes off, and you place her in a setting that offsets her beauty –it can be a beautiful spot that contrasts with the model’s beauty or it can be a spot that’s not so beautiful, and through its ugliness it makes the model even more beautiful. This technique of contrasts is at the heart of this week’s Best Of series.
